Gang members packed into El Salvador prison cells

Members of the MS-13 and 18 gangs were packed into overcrowded cells yesterday in El Salvador as they waited to be searched and inspected due to coronavirus concerns.  Authorities from the General Directorate of Penal Centres (DGCP) visited three Salvadorean prisons, some of them maximum security, to check on the inmates and to carry out searches amid the COVID-19 novel coronavirus pandemic. Pictures show the heavily tattooed gangsters, most of them wearing coronavirus face masks, rammed into tiny cages as authorities inspect the facilities.
